Attempt Limitations
The system currently does not allow automatic renewal of attempts even after retaking the course. After exhausting all three attempts, manual activation of a new set of attempts by an administrator is required.
Test Unlocking Procedure:
- The user contacts support (e.g., via the HELPDESK and use project RČVUT_Školení KB, SKB, or system administrator).
- Based on the request, a new set of three attempts will be activated.
- The user is informed once the access is restored.
Reasons for Attempt Limitations:
-
Ensuring Proper Knowledge Acquisition
- The goal of the training is not just to "pass,", but to understand key security principles.
- Limiting attempts motivates users to thoroughly go through the training, rather than relying on trial-and-error.
-
Preventing Random Guessing
- For multiple-choice questions, there is a risk that users try answers methodically without understanding (so-called "blind clicking".
- This reduces the validity of knowledge verification.
-
Increasing the Seriousness of Training
- Cybersecurity is a serious topic. The limited number of attempts emphasizes that this is not a mere formality, but a real competency requirement.
-
Possibility of Administrative Oversight
- In case of failure, we have an overview of who failed and why, allowing us to improve the training in the future.
